I created this free form necklace, Untamed Dreams, (asymmetrical
symmetry) for the 2015 Battle of the Beadsmith competition, the Facebook
BOTB13.
It is a free form embroidery without leather support, using peyote, picot, netting.
I used a large variety of materials: indigo blue Drusy (Druzy) cabochons; different sizes and colors of Swarovski Crystals Rivoli; genuine pearls (8- 10 mm peacock); peridot chips; 3 mm galvanized gold beads; size 15 Miyuki seed beads in different shades of green, garnet, iridescent green, lime green; elytra green beetle wings; gold plated crystal clasp. For the back of the stones I used little rounds of golden lambskin (see last picture).
Overall size of piece: 6 inch x 5 inch.(approx.15 cm x 12 cm) Necklace: 18 inch (46 cm) in length

*I became fascinated by form and color when I was very young, I was lucky enough to experience art at an early age. My own creative desire emerged soon after, and I have tried several forms of arts and crafts. Then I discovered beads and the endless possibilities to use them as one would use colorful paint. I experimented with different materials, conventional or not, but my preferences always seem to return to semiprecious stones, pearls and of course, seed beads. I hope my designs will bring beauty and joy to everyday life!

What a lovely collection of elements! I am amazed that there is no support for all the lush density. Will you be entering again in 2016?
It's a very beautiful piece. I love freeforms and make lots of them but I have never been confident enough to try a necklace. I love this piece!
Thank you so much, Naan, for taking the time to visit and comment! And of course, for liking my necklace...
